When my wife and I looked at starting to plan for a baby we were just over whelmed by how much information was out there and how much you could do to aid your fertility. It was a bit of a shock that I had to do pretty much the same as my wife. We cut out all caffeine and alcohol... well I cut back my wife stopped! and then looked at different conceiving tablets that you can take such as Pre Pregnancy care, sold at boots. All this aside though, your Dr should be able to help you and advice, I know they told us that we had to wait a year before they would get involved in running tests etc But we we found that we conceived when we stopped thinking about it as much and went away on a holiday and really let our hair down. Get to the travel Agents & Good luck

I agree with Daddyd2m.......a lot of my friends who have had children said it seemed to happen when they stopped thinking about it. The minute they just enjoyed making love, and stopped putting so much pressure on it.....it just seemed to happen. Don't let it turn into a job....something you have to do each night!! Make it fun, and care free, and don't let 'getting pregnant' just take over your life.
Ovulation calendars and kits are also helpful too.........something a doctor once said to a friend of mine, was that you should have sex a day to two days before ovulation. The egg once released will survive for 24hrs; whereas sperm will last for 3 to 5 days! This is why sex before ovulation can be more effective!
Again I will repeat what Dadyd2m said.......eat and drink healthily......take vitamins.....speak with your doctor, and relax about it all!! All the best, and keep us posted Tanya! xxx

Hi Tanya, It's easier said than done but I would suggest that trying to stay positive and try not to let it stress you both out. I would guess that you're already doing the healthy eating and not drinking etc so fingers crossed it should just be a matter of time for you both. If you're feeling concerned though it might be worth you speaking to your doctor or a nurse for some advice but presonally I like Daddyd2m's idea of a holiday best, nothing like a nice bit of sun and relaxing to get you in the right frame of mind & for some fun! Best of luck x

Not sure if you have considered ovulation sticks, with my last pregnancy we had been trying to no avail for six months, I used the ovulation sticks and it turns out I am later in the cycle than normal, after two months we conceived, good luck xxx
