The singer delivered her second child via a scheduled C-section with fiancé Eric Johnson at her side.
EOnline reports that pop star and reality show judge Jessica Simpson gave birth to her baby boy on the 30th June. The star, who was accompanied by her fiancé, former NFL player Eric Johnson, gave birth at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Reality show star Kim Kardashian delivered her newborn daughter at the same hospital just a few weeks previously.
Simpson and Johnson decided to name the boy Ace Knute, choosing his middle name in honour of Johnson’s Swedish grandfather. This is the second child for the two. Ace joins the family as the younger sibling of Maxwell, the couple’s one-year-old daughter. Simpson made headlines in 2012 when she announced that she was expecting her second child just seven months after giving birth to Maxwell.
According to US Magazine, Simpson and Johnson intend to get married shortly after the birth. A source told the magazine that Simpson said she wants to get married before she gets “pregnant with another one.” In the meantime, the second-time mum’s father and former manager, Joe Simpson, offered his congratulations for the couple on Twitter, saying: “Very blessed to celebrate the birth of my new grandson.”
