Erin Boag, who has been dancing on the TV show Strictly Come Dancing right from the first series, has revealed that she left the show because she is pregnant.
Erin was one of just three professional dancers that have been selected by the producers of the show to appear in all 10 series, but Erin and her husband, Peter O’Dowd decided that it would be best if she skipped the current series and rested during her pregnancy. This may in part be due to the dancer having a nasty time with severe morning sickness, even joking that it should be renamed "morning, noon and night sickness."
Erin is an award-winning dancer, and with her partner Anton du Beke, she has danced all around the world in a career spanning 20 years so far. She has partnered many celebrities in her 10 years at Strictly, including Colin Jackson, Peter Schmeichel and Vince Cable; she has promised to return in a Christmas special with Anton, which will be called Anton and Erin’s Christmas Cracker and will take place at the Royal Albert Hall over the festive season.
