Zara Tindall, the Queen's granddaughter has given birth to a baby girl, weighing 7lbs 12oz.
Mike Tindall, Zara's husband, was present at the birth at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Buckingham Palace has released a statement saying the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the families of Zara and mike are delighted.
The child, who has yet to be named, becomes 16th in line to the throne. Zara and Mike Tindall have yet to make a statement, but have returned home safe and well.
Mr and Mrs Tindall were married in Edinburgh in July 2011. The baby girl is the Queen and Prince Phillips fourth great-grandchild.
The Queen's press secretary has released a statement saying "The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike's parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby;'s name will be confirmed in due course".
