Bride attaches baby to wedding train for aisle walk
A woman from Tennessee who fastened her newborn baby daughter to the train of her wedding dress has defended her bizarre action.
Shona Carter-Brooks, from Jackson near Nashville, walked down the aisle in her alleged Vera Wang wedding dress with her month-old daughter, Aubrey, attached to the end of the train. Photographs taken at the wedding showing Shona and her bridegroom, Johnathan Brooks, walking down the aisle while the baby is dragged along the floor while guests look on.
Some of those who have seen the photographs state that the bride should be reported to the state’s child protection services, but the new Mrs Brooks has defended the incident on her Facebook page by claiming her daughter was wide awake and fully secured to her dress. She added that baby Aubrey was “covered by Christ.”
Her first Facebook post stated: “People questioning what we do, commenting all negative, and just doing the most…We good though we covered by the Blood which never lose its power.”
Indeed, Mrs Brooks seems to have welcomed all the attention her wedding stunt has received, especially in her local community. Her second post called for more social media communication about her wedding, as the comments had already ensured that the couple had the top blog in their area.
