The budget supermarket, Aldi, has ventured into mother care with the launch of their first clothing range for pregnant women.
The new clothing range collection includes a nursing bra, feeding top, maternity dress, comfortable leggings, as well as a baby-changing bag. To buy one of each of these items as a collection would cost a mother-to-be just under £51.
The supermarket have seemingly undercut their nearest competitors in half, as the same types of clothing would cost more than £100 on the high street.
The Managing Director for Corporate Buying at Aldi, Tony Baines, said: “At Aldi, we're constantly developing our offering to present our customers with competitively-priced products. This includes clothing, without compromising on quality. The launch of our new maternity wear range offers mums-to-be a range of stylish, great quality clothing and accessories at affordable prices. It is perfect for expectant families wanting to tighten the purse strings ahead of their new arrival.”
The new clothing range offers a smart wrap dress, a style that has been made famous by the Duchess of Cambridge, for £11.99; a feeding top for £9.99; maternity leggings and a nursing bra for £6.99 each. In fact, the most expensive item is the accessory, the baby-changing bag at £14.99.
