Submissions to Direct 2 Mum
We may now or in the future permit users to post, upload, transmit through, or otherwise make available on the site (collectively, "submit") messages, recipes, text, illustrations, files, images, graphics, photos, comments, sounds, music, videos, information, content, and/or other materials ("User Content"). We have the right to publish, edit or reject any User Content that you send us either via email, via the site or in writing via post for any purpose whatsoever, commercial or otherwise, without payment to you - unless we have specifically agreed otherwise in writing prior to submission.
By submitting User Content to us, simultaneously with such posting you automatically grant to us a worldwide, fully-paid, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, fully sub licensable, and transferable right and license to use, record, sell, lease, reproduce, distribute, create derivative works based upon (including, without limitation, translations), publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, publish and otherwise exploit the User Content (in whole or in part) as Direct 2 Mum, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate. We may exercise this grant in any format, media or technology now known or later developed for the full term of any copyright that may exist in such User Content.
You agree that you will not submit any User Content protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, or other intellectual property, personal, contractual, proprietary or other right owned by a third party without the express permission of the owner of the respective right. You are solely liable for any damage resulting from your failure to obtain such permission or from any other harm resulting from User Content that you submit. You represent, warrant, and covenant that you will not submit any User Content that:
- Violates or infringes in any way upon the rights of others, including, but not limited to, any copyright, trademark, moral right, or other third party right of any person or entity;
- Impersonates another or is unlawful, threatening, abusive, libellous, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, obscene, harassing or otherwise objectionable;
- Contains a formula, instruction, or advice that could cause harm or injury;
- The licensed use by us hereunder would result in us having any obligation or liability to any party.
We rely on you to present us with User Content that contains accurate and factual material. We assume no responsibility for the accuracy of information provided on Direct 2 Mum.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, you waive any and all claims you may now or later have in any jurisdiction to so-called "moral rights" or rights of "droit moral" with respect to the User Content.
We reserve the right to display advertisements in connection with your User Content and to use your User Content for advertising and promotional purposes.
Delivery is available to UK mainland. Northern Ireland carries a surcharge which will be displayed at Checkout dependant on the postcode. Free delivery is available to UK mainland only (If your order is over the value of £50). Please be aware, that items supplied directly from the manufacturers are not available to be delivered to Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands.
Standard Delivery (within 7 days) is free on orders over £50 and, £3.99 on orders under £50
Next Day Delivery is £4.99 on all orders
Weekend Delivery is £7.99 on all orders

UK and Northern Ireland Delivery is a "door-to-door" service. If no one is at home when Interlink, DPD, Hermes or Royal Mail attempts delivery they will attempt delivery to a neighbour in the local vicinity and leave your parcel with them. If you do not want your parcel left with a neighbour please either leave a signed note explaining where the order may be left, the driver will then take your note as authorisation and the goods will be left where you have requested. This however is done at your own risk. If these options are not possible the courier will leave a calling card and usually attempt re-delivery the following working day. After this you will be required to collect the goods from your local depot. Clear details of this will be on the 'sorry we missed you' card that will be left by your driver.
If the delivery address refuse delivery and the goods have not been cancelled under "Your right to cancel" (below) or if you do not respond to the "sorry we missed you" card left by your driver, your order will be returned to the sender (direct2mum.co.uk) we will then wait for you to contact us before we refund you your money minus the return postage cost.
Our Courier will strive to get your order to you in accordance with the delivery option you selected but, due to circumstances out of ours and our courier's control, i.e. extreme weather conditions, unforeseen incidents, mis-route of a parcel, delays may occur. Please be assured we will endeavour to get your parcel to you as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately we cannot offer our next day service to customers living in the following postcode areas: AB31, AB33 - AB38, AB44 - AB56, IV30 - IV32, Isle of Man and Scilly Isles.
Please note: DPD returns charges are £29.25 up to 10 kilos and 48p per kilo thereafter, direct delivery charges may vary.
Please note: If you are ordering large items, you will be required to carry the objects into your house. Please ensure there will be someone at home who will be able to do this.
Items such as cot beds & nursing chairs may require additional assistance when being delivered due to the size of the packaging. Failure to enter the correct delivery details may result in a charge to amend these with DPD.
Direct2mum.co.uk distributes all its parcels via DPD or Royal Mail. Further Terms and Conditions of delivery can be found at: DPD Delivery Terms and Conditions - http://www.dpd.co.uk/terms-and-conditions.jsp When receiving your delivery, if you believe the goods may be damaged, please ensure you sign 'damaged' with the courier. Direct2mum Ltd reserve the right to refuse and cancel any order for which we believe is not for personal use.
1.1 You may cancel your contract with us, Direct2Mum Limited, and return those goods at any time up to the end of the 14th day from the date you receive the goods, PROVIDING the goods are unused and in their original packaging. You do not need to give us a reason for cancelling your contract.
1.2 You have a right to ask us to allow you to cancel your contract with us at any time if your credit card has been fraudulently used by a third party to make the order, providing we have received written evidence.
1.3 To cancel your contract and return the goods you must notify us in writing by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or via telephone on 0330 3500 521 quoting your order number and date of purchase.
1.4 If you receive the goods before you cancel your contract under paragraph 1.1 then you must send the goods back to: ‘Returns Dept.’ Direct2Mum Ltd, Hugh House, Galpharm Way, Dodworth Business Park, Dodworth, Barnsley, S75 3SP at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already arranged for the goods to be delivered you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at the above address at your own cost and risk within 7 days.
1.5 Once you have notified us that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited by us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible; PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned in the condition in which they were delivered. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct any costs of recovering the goods which we incur from the amount to be re-credited to you.
1.6 Where you return goods to us, the goods must be properly packaged (in the original packaging if the item is in working order and unused). Please arrange for a suitable outer layer of packaging to be used and make every effort to ensure that the goods reach us in a saleable condition. Order details must be enclosed in the packaging.
1.7 If unwanted/cancelling your order, the goods will be returned by you at your risk. This means that if we receive the goods in a damaged condition, you will be responsible for the cost of that damage and we reserve the right to refuse a refund in those circumstances.
1.8 If the goods are returned to us in saleable condition but the original packaging is damaged, we will deduct an amount necessary to repackage the items from the refund owed to you. At present, that amount is £2.99 but we reserve the right to change it should the costs of repackaging fluctuate.
1.9 All unwanted goods must be returned in a sellable condition
2.0 If you require a collection of your unwanted goods, there is a charge of £10 that will be deducted from your refund.
2.1 If the goods we deliver are incorrect, damaged or faulty you must let us know either by email to email@example.com or telephone on 0330 3500 521 within 7 days of the goods arrival. If you do not let us know, we cannot accept the return of the goods. Up to 28 days your return will be reviewed by the customer service team, and anything after 28 days will be decided by the manufacturer’s warranty. All Babyway and Direct2Mum own brand products will be covered on a 6-month warranty. Warranties do not cover return costs when over 28 days old
2.2 After you have notified us under paragraph 2.1, we may require photographic evidence that the goods are still in your possession and are faulty. In such circumstances, you can send us that evidence either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by such other method as we may agree with you, whilst also providing details of your order number.
2.3 Unless the law provides otherwise, we will not be responsible for any loss of profits, business or goodwill (or similar loss) which you may suffer because of any problem with the goods and we shall have no responsibility to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question.
2.4 You must observe and comply with all of the regulations and legislation of the country of delivery which apply to that delivery including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits, licences or consents and/or paying any import duty (or such other payment which may be necessary). Certain national laws may prohibit the import or export of our goods to you. We make no statement and accept no responsibility in respect of whether or not the export or import of the goods you purchase is so prohibited.
2.5 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under any laws or other statutory rights.
2.6 If any goods are defective or faulty, and you do return them to us, you must return it in its original packaging together with your order details so that we can identify the package upon receipt.
2.7 We reserve the right to check the goods once we have received them and to decide whether they are faulty. If we decide that they are faulty, we will contact you and confirm our decision. We will then arrange redelivery of a new product or a refund, dependant on what you choose.
2.8 Notification should be given of the despatch of the goods either via email to email@example.com or via telephone to 0330 3500 521. The goods should be sent to: ‘Returns Department’, Direct2Mum Limited, Hugh House, Galpharm Way, Upper Cliffe Road, Dodworth Business Park, Barnsley, S75 3SP.
2.9 Once you have notified us that goods are faulty, we may arrange for them to be collected from you by our couriers or you can request this. We shall contact you directly to arrange that collection although you should note that we cannot provide a time for the collection to take place.
3.0 Certain items can be collected for repairs providing we have received photographic evidence of the fault. Repaired goods can take up to 28 days to be returned to you.
3.1 Should you provide us with an incorrect address or be otherwise incapable of taking delivery for a properly addressed item then that item will be returned to us.
3.2 We will notify you should such item be returned to us and you can request that it be redelivered. If you do require us to redeliver it, we will charge you the cost to us of doing so.
3.3 We will require advance payment of excess postage prior to despatch. You can make this payment by cheque or by PayPal.
3.4 We will only hold items for re'delivery for 7 days. If we do not hear from you in this time or we do not receive funds within this time, you will be issued a refund for the cost of the item (excluding original postage and packaging charges) and the item will be returned to stock.
The above refers to unopened, unused and undamaged items. If an item is deemed faulty, used or damaged. The item will be discarded and no refund will be processed.
3.5 Tracking information is provided with your order confirmation once despatched from our system. Should you not have this for some reason, then please contact us by telephone on 0330 3500 521 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
3.6 If we attempt a delivery on several occasions to an address where no one is available to accept delivery then a re-stocking fee of 10% will apply.
3.7 You have 7 days from receipt of goods to notify us if the item you have received is incorrect, at which point we will arrange collection. After 7 days it is the responsibility of the buyer to send the item back for either a replacement or a refund
3.8 A refund or replacement order will be arranged dependant on what the customer requests
3.9 We will not be able to answer enquiries on weekends or Bank Holidays. An email or voicemail can be left for the correct team to be picked up on and responded to when business resumes
4.0 We will not tolerate abuse of any of our staff. Our staff have the right to refrain from conversation with the customer should they become abusive. Any abuse which occurs will be reported immediately to company management and if appropriate, the police
4.1 You can email us 24hrs a day 7 days a week. We will respond to all emails within 24hrs excluding weekends and bank holidays
4.2 We have the right to request proof that an item was purchased from our company
4.3 We only have to accept returns from the individual who purchased the item
4.4 When you purchase your pram, pushchair, stroller or travel system and it is sent for repair we will, subject to availability, provide you with a pushchair suitable for the age of the child. This pushchair is unlikely to be the same model as your own.
4.5 A deposit of £20 will be required to cover the loan pushchair. Payment can be sent to our Paypal account. Please contact our customer service department to arrange payment of the deposit: email@example.com or 0330 3500 521
4.6 Should a loan pushchair be returned to us damaged, dirty or missing parts, then the £20 deposit will be retained in our account to cover repair/replacement.
If we receive an item back from a customer that has no order details; therefor preventing us
from being able to discover who the customer is, then we will hold that item for two weeks from receipt of goods. After that time the item will be returned to stock.
If a customer has returned an item without prior warning, but has enclosed their order details, then they will be contacted to enquire as to how they would like to proceed. If we receive no reply from the customer we will email twice more, hold the item for two weeks, and if we still have no reply, then a refund (minus postage costs) will be issued and the item(s) will be checked for faults returned to stock.
Your goods will be dispatched in a timely manner either via our courier or post depending on the size of the product. We estimate 3 to 5 working days (not including weekends) for delivery of goods sent via our courier. If you have not received your order after 10 days please notify our customer support team who will investigate this for you.
Should your item become lost by the couriers or in the post, our support team is there to assist you. We thank you in advance of your patience when dealing with lost items.
New items will not be re-sent until the original has been returned to us or the couriers/Royal Mail have confirmed the item as lost and a claim has been processed by them. This can take up to 5 working days. Refunds cannot be processed until confirmation of returned items to our warehouse or a claim has been processed.
We promise to offer the best deal at all times at Direct2Mum and if someone else has it cheaper within 7 days of your purchase, we will match it, Our promise to you.This is how it would work:
Example 1: You buy a product from us for £200, and you find it for £180 somewhere else. We will match that price.
Example 2: If you buy a product from us that is £100 with free delivery and a competitor is selling the same product for £80, but with £3.50 online delivery charge, we will price match to £83.50.
- The Direct2mum price match only applies to UK & Ireland registered online retailers
- The product must be available to buy immediately
- It must be found and presented to us at the above email within 7 days of your purchase.
- The price match service is limited to one per customer
- The price match excludes, coupons, vouchers, special offer or sale items

The contract in respect of the products supplied by us to you comes into existence when your order has been accepted by us. For the avoidance of doubt, receipt of an order via our site does not constitute legal acceptance of an order. We reserve the right to cancel an order before the point of delivery.
You’re right to cancel
You have the right to cancel your order with us within 30 minutes of the order being placed (excludes bank holidays, festive periods and weekends). If the order has been processed for despatch, we may not be able to stop the delivery of the goods. However, you have the right to refuse any delivery attempt and the amount charged for the product will be refunded to the original payment method within 30 days of return. The shipping costs will not be refunded on any order cancelled after despatch.
If the delivery is accepted, the return charge are at the customers own cost as per the unwanted returns policy.
To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency, which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Direct2Mum Online voucher terms and conditions
- Online discount vouchers are limited to one promotional voucher per household, per offer and one promotional voucher per order.
- Vouchers are redeemable for all residents of the UK and Ireland aged 18 and over excluding employees and their families of Direct2Mum, associated companies, agents, or anyone else professionally connected with the promoter.
- Direct2Mum promotional vouchers may only be redeemed at our web site www.direct2mum.co.uk toward the purchase of products listed on the website and cannot be redeemed via phone or mail order.
- Please note that where stated a minimum purchase value may apply which is exclusive of all postage and packing charges.
